Senior Cost Controller – Major Capital Projects

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Cost Controller to support a diverse portfolio of major capital projects within the Peel region. This is a hands-on role working closely with project delivery teams across multiple sites, requiring a balance of technical expertise and strong stakeholder engagement skills.

The Role

As Senior Cost Controller, you will:

Provide cost management and project controls across a portfolio of infrastructure and resources projects.

Support initiatives including refinery expansions, decarbonisation, efficiency upgrades, and water security programs (dams, pumping infrastructure, filtration systems).

Deliver accurate cost forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, and financial governance across multiple live projects.

Engage with diverse stakeholders – from contractors to asset owners – ensuring alignment on project delivery and financial transparency.

Balance competing priorities across multiple projects, ensuring robust cost control is maintained throughout.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings:

Demonstrated experience in cost control and project controls on complex, multi-site projects.

Minimum 6-8 years of cost control experience on resources or infrastructure projects.

Strong systems capability – Oracle Unifier experience advantageous (or the ability to quickly learn new systems).

Ability to work collaboratively with both project teams on-site and senior executives.

Flexibility to spend 60–80% of your time on-site in the Peel region, with some flexibility for office or remote work depending on project phase.

Strong commercial acumen, communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Australian work rights are required for this position.
