The Opportunity

An established civil contractor with a strong footprint across South East Queensland is looking for a hands-on Foreman / Supervisor / Leading Hand to strengthen its delivery team.

Known for delivering pavement and road projects to Tier 1 quality standards, this business has a strong pipeline of secured work through to 2026.

This is a field-based role with responsibility for ensuring QA is completed on time, machinery is operating efficiently, and crews are delivering safely and productively. You’ll be the go-to person on the ground, supported by supervisors and project engineers, while stepping up to supervisory responsibilities as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise day-to-day site activities, working closely with operators and crews.
• Take ownership of QA processes, ensuring documentation is accurate and timely.
• Coordinate and manage plant, equipment, and resources to maximise productivity.
• Support and mentor site teams, assisting supervisors and engineers in planning and sequencing works.
• Lead toolbox talks, drive a strong safety culture, and resolve site issues effectively.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and project staff to ensure works remain on schedule.

About You

• Civil Foreman, Supervisor, or Leading Hand background with strong exposure to road pavements and earthworks.
• Hands-on, field-driven, and confident working closely with crews and machinery.
• Proven ability to manage QA on civil projects.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and influence site teams.
• White Card essential; additional tickets (plant ops, traffic management, first aid) highly regarded.
