About the role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Community Registered Nurse to join our team in Wollert, providing high-quality care for a client living with a complex disability, including Tracheostomy, Bulbar Dysfunction, Catheterisation, Quadriplegia and manual handling.

This is a 7 days per week care environment and we are looking to fill shifts between
8:00 AM – 8:00 PM and 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM.

For this opportunity we do require minimum 2 years of experience in disability and high complexity of skillset.

The recruitment process includes two interviews:

1. An initial interview with the recruiter

2. A second with the Family.

Role responsibilities:

Deliver support care to client with a high complex of disability

Supporting client and their family when dealing with clinical care needs

Undertaking regular review and evaluation of client care and service plans

Ensuring clients care plan are reviewed and evaluated in consultation with other staff, the client and family, the GP and other health professionals

Completing ongoing reviews and maintain accuracy of long-term care plans

Providing medication management (including administration) as required

What we are looking for:

Registered Nurse Division 1 with current AHPRA Registration

Must have experience in – in tracheostomy, quadriplegia, peg feeding, catheterisation.

Experience in disability - preferably with people living in the community

Experience and capability in using computerised client care management systems

Full Driver’s license – Australian

Own car that is registered and insured

Actively maintains professional skills and is up to date in current practices in disability applicable to the role.
