The Role
We are seeking an Academic Governance and Curriculum Officer to support the delivery of governance and curriculum management processes across the Faculty of Arts.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate academic governance and curriculum-related processes, ensuring compliance with University standards.
- Provide advice and recommendations on governance and curriculum matters.
- Support the planning and coordination of Faculty-level governance activities.
- Provide secretariat support for academic committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, and implementing action items.
- Liaise with the DVC (Academic) portfolio and central governance services to support curriculum change and annual cycles.
- Monitor and review curriculum processes to ensure integrity of information and compliance with policy requirements.
- Provide administrative support for academic appeals, exceptions, and policy matters.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of governance and curriculum systems and processes.
You will report to the Educational Governance and Initiatives Manager within the Quality Assurance and Compliance function.
About You
You will be a detail-oriented and collaborative professional with:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience.
- Experience interpreting and providing advice on policies and procedures with the ability to work effectively with academic staff, committees, and stakeholders.
- Secretariat and administrative support experience, including agendas, minutes, reports, scheduling, and annual plans.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Experience identifying and implementing administrative process improvements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems.
- Strong customer service focus, with the ability to work effectively with academic staff, committees, and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Selection Criteria
