About the role

Giannitto Family Hotels is looking for an experienced Bistro Supervisor to join our team at our Gawler, SA location. In this casual role, you will oversee the daily operations of our bustling bistro, ensuring exceptional customer service and a smooth-running service. As part of our committed hospitality team, you will play a key role in contributing to the overall success of our hotel.

What you'll be doing

Supervising and directing the bistro team, including servers, bartenders, and support staff

Ensuring excellent customer service and a positive dining experience for all guests

Overseeing food and beverage inventory, ordering, and cost control

Handling customer queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner

Assisting with menu planning, pricing, and implementation

Adhering to all health, safety, and licensing regulations

Providing training and development opportunities for the bistro team

Supporting the General Manager in the overall operation of the hotel

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry

Strong leadership and people management skills

Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities

Working knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control

Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
