About us headspace provides support to young people aged 12-25 experiencing mild to moderate or emerging mental health issues. The multidisciplinary team at headspace Nowra work to improve health, social, vocational and educational outcomes for young people. Grand Pacific Health is the lead agency of headspace Nowra. We’re here to provide our local communities in NSW and the ACT with equitable, inclusive and integrated health care including physical health and mental health care services. We currently employ around 400 people, provide services from 25 locations and are continuing to grow. About the position The role of the Service Manager – headspace Nowra is to provide clinical support and leadership to the multidisciplinary headspace Nowra team, ensuring efficient, effective, safe and high-quality management and clinical service delivery consistent with best practice guidelines. This position reports to the Manager, Youth Health and leads the team and delivery of the program on a day-to-day basis. The Service Manager will work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead and the broader team as well as external stakeholders to contribute to the development of person centred, recovery focussed, evidence-based and innovative clinical and psychosocial services that achieve high quality outcomes for young people and their friends, families and carers. This is a full-time opportunity based from our headspace Nowra centre with some occasional travel required. Why join GPH?

What you’ll need

  1. Current full AHPRA registration as a clinical psychologist, registered psychologist, registered mental health nurse or occupational therapist, qualified social worker eligible for membership of the AASW or relevant skills, qualifications and experience in mental health services and health services management.
  2. Understanding of the Australian health care system and key issues relevant to primary health care particularly in relation to the health and wellbeing needs of young people living with mental health and/or substance use problems.
  3. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and ability to establish partnerships with a range of service providers and organisations.
  4. Demonstrated skills in health services management including planning for and delivering on team objectives and deliverables, monitoring and maintaining team performance, ensure role clarity and accountability and facilitating collaboration.
