North West Physiotherapy - Everton Park is a multi-disciplinary healthcare clinic that has been providing evidence-based care to our local community for 29 years. Consisting of Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Exercise Physiology and Dietetics. With the planned addition of Occupational Therapy, our team is excited to expand our services and continue helping patients achieve their goals through a welcoming, modern, and patient-centred approach.
North West Physiotherapy Everton Park runs in partnership with our Fortitude Valley clinic located on St Pauls Terrace and North West Healthy Women at Everton Park.
North West Physiotherapy has strong ties to local GP and Specialist Clinics, NDIS Plan Managers and Support Coordinators along with Preferred Provider status with all major Health Funds. We have a large, varied caseload of patients including private-paying, NDIS, DVA, Medicare and WorkCover.
Our well-resourced facility at Everton Park features both open and private treatment rooms, a fully equipped exercise gym, and a dedicated Reformer Pilates area. At North West Physiotherapy, we also utilise a wide range of standardised assessments and testing equipment, supporting detailed report writing and effective outcome measurement. This enables us to accurately track therapy progress and results over time.
What Is The Role?
As our Everton Park clinic continues to grow, we are seeking a pioneer Occupational Therapist to join our team.
Start Date: ASAP
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of community or clinic-based Occupational Therapy experience is essential.
Location: The ideal applicant will be based at our North West Physiotherapy Everton Park clinic, whilst enjoying the flexibility of community-based home visits, and work-from-home report writing.
Hours: Part-time commitment of 15 hours per week, with ability to increase hours as clinical demand grows.
Renumeration: an attractive, commensurate renumeration package up to $110,000 (pro-rata).
You'll work with a diverse caseload including (but not limited to): NDIS participants with recognised neurological, physical, psychosocial and neuro-developmental conditions, non-NDIS clients such as veterans and patients with workplace injuries.
The successful applicant’s previous clinical experience and areas of interest will be taken into account, alongside clinic demand, to create a tailored caseload. You will have a thorough understanding of Occupational Therapy within the NDIS. As well as having aspirations to provide supervision and lead an occupational therapy team in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Service Development & Implementation: Play the key role in shaping something new. Design and launch the North West - Occupational Therapy service from the ground up, with the freedom to influence protocols, resources, and clinical direction.
Clinical Care: Deliver high-quality, evidence-based assessments and interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside our allied health team to ensure integrated, patient-centred care.
Community Engagement & Education: Build relationships with referrers and educate patients and their support networks about OT services.
Service Promotion & Growth: Support the growth of the OT program by contributing to promotional efforts and identifying opportunities for service expansion.
Leadership & Mentoring: Lead the development of North West's OT program and help shape the clinic’s OT culture by mentoring future team members and contributing to service refinement.
