About Us

At be™, we do things differently. Based in the beautiful hinterland town of Maleny, on Jinibara Country, (just 30 mins from the Sunshine Coast and 1 hour from Brisbane), our neurodiversity-affirming clinic supports children through connection, co-regulation, play, and real-world functional growth using the DIR® Floortime model.

Our team of occupational therapists, speech pathologists, social workers, allied health assistants, and admin staff, work together to deliver meaningful, respectful, relationship-based supports. We also share our clinic with a visiting psychologist and paediatrician, enhancing the wrap-around support available to families.

The Role: Occupational Therapist

As a Occupational Therapist at be™, you will:

Deliver high-quality, neurodiversity-affirming speech pathology services to children and families.

Work in partnership with our multidisciplinary team to create supports that prioritise connection, co-regulation, and functional communication.

Provide therapy across a variety of settings: clinic, home, school, childcare, and community.

Collaborate closely with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a consistent and inclusive support system.

Participate in weekly PD and case conferencing as part of our commitment to ongoing learning and best-practice care.

Contribute to service development and team-based innovation.

If desired, take on a leadership and mentoring role with early career therapists, students, and allied health assistants.

About You

We’re looking for a Occupational Therapist who brings:

AHPRA registration (or eligibility).

A commitment to neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based practice.

Experience or interest in the DIR® Floortime approach (training provided).

Understanding of Autism, ADHD, developmental differences, and sensory processing challenges.

A relationship-first mindset, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

A flexible, reflective, and team-oriented approach to therapy.
