We have an exciting opportunity for a vibrant and proactive Communications and Engagement Officer to join our Marketing, Communications and Engagement team.
Reporting to the Manager Marketing, Communications and Engagement, you will provide advice and services to program areas across the organisation to meet City of Darwin's strategic objectives, and facilitate the development and implementation of marketing, communication and community engagement activities.
In addition, you will be responsible for:
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to assess opportunities for collaboration
Providing copywriting and editing for internal and external communications
Coordinating booking of advertising across a variety of channels, including traditional and digital media
Ensuring programs meet and adhere to the City of Darwin brand, communication and procurement policies and guidelines
Engaging and managing the outputs of consultants and creative service providers
Evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of City of Darwin's communications, marketing and engagement activities.
Our Marketing, Communications and Engagement team is a critical part of our transformation agenda, working to achieve City of Darwin’s strategic vision. The team works closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Lord Mayor and delivers marketing, communications and media programs that inform the community about our programs, services and achievements and strengthen our reputation.
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced communication and/or marketing professional with a flexible and positive approach. You will be outcome driven, and able to manage competing work priorities whilst delivering outcomes to a high standard. You are experienced in providing communications advice and services to various levels of an organisation, creating strong links with internal and external stakeholders.
Ideally, you will have:
A Diploma in Marketing, Communication or equivalent qualification and/or experience
A minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing, communication or community engagement roles
Current NT Working with Children Ochre Card
Ability to obtain a National Police Records Check
