About the Position
As the Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering a project work stream under the Callista NextGen Project at Charles Darwin University (CDU), with a strong focus on integration coordination.
This critical work supports the scalability of CDU’s Student Management System, as well as future facing delivery models ensuring the University’s student systems are robust, future-ready, and aligned with strategic growth. The role contributes directly to delivery of the Integration Stream of Work and Course and Unit Repository enhancement activities, both essential deliverables within the broader Callista NextGen initiative.
The Project Manager will coordinate a newly established team to remediate that, alongside the existing Digital Technology Solution department, Integrations Team and Callista NextGen project team. The position will also include impact assessments of strategic proposals related to core functionality, and the development of recommendations as to the priority and timing of their consultation and implementation.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, ICT, industry certifications or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives, academic leaders, and operational teams.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports, documentation, and executive-level summaries.
- Proven initiative in project planning, scheduling, and monitoring, with the ability to identify issues early and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated history of working effectively within cross-functional and diverse project teams.
- Demonstrated success delivering outcomes within structured program and project management frameworks, specifically in relation to IT projects working with Data, Applications, Integrations, or Systems.
- In-depth understanding of student systems and administrative processes, with insight into how system changes impact the student experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Daptiv or similar for developing, maintaining, and tracking detailed project schedules across multiple workstreams.
- Practical experience using Jira or similar platforms for test case development, issue tracking, and supporting Agile or hybrid project delivery.
Desirable - Experience with the Callista Student Management System, including its data structures, integration points, and application within higher education environments, including system configuration, business logic, and its role in supporting core university operations.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 10. The base salary will be in the range of $133,156 - $147,782 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $155,792 - $172,904 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
