Position details
- Part-Time (0.6 FTE), Permanent Position
- Classification: SCHADS Level 4 with a salary range of $88,169 to $94,888 per annum + Superannuation
- Salary packaging arrangements providing tax benefits available for living and entertainment expenses increasing your take home income where part of your wage is paid tax free each pay, savings thousands in tax each year
- Location: Geelong, Victoria
About your new role
Case Managers - Lived Experience (CMLE) draw on their own life-changing lived experience of housing instability, homelessness and/or situational distress, and their journey of recovery and healing, to support consumers to develop, coordinate and implement care plans to address their needs.
What you will bring to the role
- Personal lived experience of housing instability, homelessness, and/or situational distress, with a focus on the recovery journey and the ability to purposefully use lived experience to connect with and support others.
- Sound understanding of advocacy and social justice.
- Strong emotional resilience including the ability to sit with discomfort, distress and people in crisis.
- Ability to work autonomously, adapt communication to diverse need and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to self-reflect, take on feedback to grow practice skills and engage in personal and professional development.
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced unpredictable environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills plus computer literacy.
- Willingness to intentionally and purposefully share your lived experience to support the recovery and growth of service consumers and staff
- Willingness to identify and be identified by others as a professional with lived experience of recovery
- Current drivers licence
- Current Working with Children Check
Desirable
- Intentional Peer Support core training, Cert IV Mental Health Peer Work, Hearing Voices training, or similar.
- Previous experience in a designated Lived Experience role.
