Role Summary

We are seeking skilled and motivated Boilermakers / Fabricators / Welders to join our expanding team. You will work on the fabrication and welding of steel chassis or aluminium bodies (depending on your expertise), from conception through to finished assemblies. This role provides long-term stability, varied projects, and opportunities for career growth for the right applicants.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate, cut, shape, and assemble steel or aluminium components

Perform welding (MIG, TIG, stick, etc.)

Interpret and work from technical drawings, welding procedures, and specifications

Ensure work meets dimensional tolerances, fit-up and quality standards

Prepare, grind, dress welds, perform finishing where required

Inspect your own work and conduct quality checks

Maintain tools, equipment, and machinery

Follow safe work practices and actively contribute to a safe workplace

Assist in continuous improvement, process optimization

Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and cross-functional teams

Essential Requirements

Trade qualification e.g. Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent

Proven, hands-on fabrication / welding experience (steel and/or aluminium)

Ability to read, interpret and work from engineering and welding drawings

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Proactive, motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Good understanding of safety, welding codes, and regulatory standards

Driver’s licence current

Desirable / Advantageous Skills (but not mandatory)

Experience with trailer or vehicle bodywork fabrication

Welding certificate(s) (e.g. Australian Welding Society or equivalent)

Experience with jigs, fixtures, templates, and quality welding gauges

High-risk licences (forklift, elevated work platform, etc.)

Experience working in a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment

Good problem-solving skills and process improvement mindset
