About the role

We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker - General Fabrication - Leading Hand to join our growing team at COMPLETE ENGINEERING (QLD) PTY LTD' in Southport, QLD. This is a full-time opportunity where you will take on or grow into a leading role, overseeing and contributing to the fabrication of a range of high-quality products.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate the activities of the fabrication team to ensure projects are completed to a high standard and on time

Carry out complex fabrication duties including cutting, welding, rolling, forming and assembling metal components

Interpret engineering drawings and work from specifications to fabricate custom steel and metal products

Ensure all work is performed in accordance with relevant safety standards and procedures

Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior members of the team

Liaise with the project manager to identify and resolve any issues that may impact fabrication timelines or quality

What we're looking for

Formal trade qualification as a Boilermaker with 5+ years' experience in a similar role

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Proficient in a range of fabrication techniques including welding, cutting, rolling and forming

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively oversee a team of fabricators

Safety-focused approach and understanding of relevant OH&S requirements

Experience with pressing and laser cutting a strong advantage.
