Grounds & Maintenance Officer | Pinangba | Star of the Sea Elders Village l Thursday Island
Employment term: Casual
Location: Star of the Sea Elders Village, Thursday Island
Remuneration: $30.05 p/hr + Casual Allowance + 12% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances
We are seeking an experienced Grounds and Maintenance Officer to join our team at Star of the Seas on Thursday Island
Your part in our Pinangba team
You’ll support with the maintenance and grounds services across our residential facility, including:
Support with repairs, preventative maintenance and refurbishment
General grounds upkeep, landscaping - overseeing any external contractors
Develop and deliver Summer and Winter gardening programs
General maintenance programs over the course of the year
What makes a difference for us?
Experience in general building, plant and equipment maintenance
Experience in gardening/landscape/grounds maintenance, including
Knowledge of herbicides, pesticides and safe work practices
Relevant Trade Qualifications or Certificate in Facilities, Building or Construction
Current Australian driver’s license
Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
