How You’ll Shine
The Guest Service Generalist is responsible for completing daily Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Maintenance functions.
Please note that this role will be primarily responsible for assisting our maintenance department. The successful candidate will have experience in plumbing, carpentry, painting, gardening, and general maintenance. Duties include:
Maintenance of rooms/grounds
Inspection & reporting of faults
Reporting all maintenance issues as required
Assisting guests when required
This is a busy hands-on role that requires a motivated can-do person with great time management skills and a desire to make the property the best it can be!
Where required to support business demands, the successful candidate may also be required to provide assistance to other Departments.
Responsibilities of these Departments include, but are not limited to:
Perform all duties of the front desk, including greeting owners and guests, Check in and out, Answer telephone and email inquiries, portage of luggage, cash handling and balancing procedures, tour & travel inquiries/bookings, reservations and night audit procedures
Possess a thorough knowledge of the operation of all administration equipment eg. Email, basic word & excel documentation and Credit Card settlement machines.
Housekeeping functions such as cleaning & maintaining guest accommodation
Food & Beverage functions such as preparing and serving Food & Beverages
Maintenance functions such as maintaining guest accommodation and common areas

Previous experience within a hotel maintenance environment would be preferable.
