HEAD CHEF

Location: Burly Gin, The Warehouses, Currumbin

Remuneration: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum (plus superannuation)

We’re seeking a creative and talented Head Chef that can produce high quality Contemporary style food, whilst also receiving an opportunity of career growth as we invest in the development of our Gin Cellar Door with brand new and top of the line kitchen equipment inc Skope, Paige, Unox & Irinox.

What We’re Looking For:

Develop menu construction and weekly specials, perfectly pairing with our beverage offering

Opportunity to lead a small kitchen, with top technology and brand new appliances

Showcase your talent and creativity, alongside developing new skills

5 day’s week roster, consecutive 2 days off

Ability to work by yourself & to exercise your managerial & organisational skills

Excellent understanding of kitchen operations, including costing, ordering, budgeting, and promotions

Working with local produce and suppliers

Desired Experience :

4+ year experience in Kitchen

You will enjoy the challenge of a kitchen where the ease of your role depends mostly on you

You will be great with a Combi oven and creative dishes

You will be a team player and take direction as needed, supporting the Venue Manager to achieve targets and KPI

You will know how to work in a food safety compliant manner

You will keep the kitchen environment to the highest cleaning standards

You will look after and maintain the kitchen equipment

You will work with the team to create seasonal menus and specials for functions

You will have a passion for food, looking to constantly improve skills and techniques.
