The Team:
The team at the Peacock Centre is part of Tasmania’s Adult Mental Health Services and plays a vital role in delivering integrated, person-centred mental health care. The Centre includes services such as the Mental Health Integration Hub, Peacock House, Recovery College, and Safe Haven—all working collaboratively to support individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
As an Administrative Officer, you would be part of a multidisciplinary team that values compassion, respect, and recovery-focused care. The team supports both clinical and peer-led services, ensuring smooth operations through efficient administrative support, coordination, and communication. The role contributes to a welcoming and trauma-informed environment, helping the team deliver timely and responsive services to clients, families, and support network
The Role:
As part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services in accordance with the Mental Health Services principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency Policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies.
You will need to:
- Provide quality administrative and reception support to the Peacock Centre, including undertaking special projects under the direction of the Manager.
- Undertake leave management, training of staff in new processes, the orientation of new or casual administrative staff and the ongoing support of existing administrative staff.
- Manage and coordinate administrative support systems for the efficient and effective operation of the Peacock Centre.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
