People and Culture Manager
NSW Government Organisation – Parramatta & WFH – ASAP start – initial assignment until 28/02/2026 – pay rate: $800 - $850 per day + super
Key accountabilities:

  • Manage and support business success through the delivery, execution and implementation of people services, programs and activities.
  • Translation of business strategy and people plans into effective people management interventions, taking into account different business cultures and constraints for the Business Unit.
  • Provide People strategic context and understanding of specific business plan requirements and enable HR solutions in the context of the broader people agenda.
  • Contribute to the design and strategic direction of the people plans and identify actions to support whilst delivering local people initiatives to enable business objectives.
  • Deliver prompt credible HR support, managing people related risks across the Group.
  • Provide expert advice on all facets of human resources including culture change, organisational change/structure/capability, job design, performance improvement, employee development and engagement, workplace relations and contract/industrial instrument interpretation.
  • Conduct analytical assessments on people performance; structure optimisation and performance; and other related HR projects to support business growth/performance
  • Provide monthly reporting to Head of Business Partnering and Workforce Strategy

Selection criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary-level qualifications
  • 10+ years’ experience in HR
  • Demonstrable ‘hands on’ experience in a related HRM/business partner role operating as an effective HR professional and being viewed as a credible, trusted advisor and leader.
  • Experience in providing innovative solutions and leading change to promote value-added growth; sound understanding of contemporary HR management and workplace relations.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship and engagement skills
  • Working knowledge and ability to interpret legislation and other technical information.
  • Ability to provide credible HR advice
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
