You’ll support Core Platforms, Applications & Services: Delivering statewide voice, conferencing, mobile, and messaging services

Your focus will be on developing and enhancing Unified Telephony solutions, primarily Microsoft Teams Phone System and Internet Protocol Telephony (TIPT). In this role, you will:

  • Drive the transition from legacy telephony to modern cloud-based solutions, ensuring seamless deployment and adoption.
  • Create clear technical documentation and troubleshooting guides to empower teams and users.
  • Conduct rigorous testing, validation, and root cause analysis to maintain solution reliability and quality.
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to deliver products on time, innovate, and optimize performance.

This role is internally referred to as Engineer – Service Management.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience managing large-scale Statewide Voice Services and UC platforms (Microsoft Teams, IP Telephony) in complex environments, ideally within NSW Health.
  • Strong expertise with VoIP, SIP Trunks, PSTN, desk phones, telephony devices, and cloud-based UC solutions (AWS/Azure).
  • Skilled in vendor and telco management, including procurement, service delivery, billing, and ongoing enhancements.
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments with experience mentoring peers, creating product stories, and driving roadmap delivery.
  • Excellent communicator with knowledge of contact centre systems, call recording, video conferencing, and project management principles.
