About the Role
BRAMS is seeking a Male Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Worker to join our Community Services Team. This is an identified position and applicants must identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander male.
The role provides culturally safe, person-centred support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men, their families and communities. You will deliver case planning, counselling, men’s groups, outreach and community education in line with the SEWB Model, BRAMS Model of Care, Quality Care Framework and Community Engagement Framework.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing individual support, case planning and counselling tailored to men’s needs
- Facilitating culturally safe men’s groups
- Delivering community education and awareness activities
- Providing outreach to individuals and families, including those with complex needs
- Building strong relationships with Elders, community organisations and service providers
About you

- Certificate or Diploma in Community Services, Mental Health, Counselling or related field, or equivalent experience, or willingness to obtain
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men in health or community settings
- Skills in case planning, group facilitation, counselling and community education
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide culturally safe, strengths-based support
