ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Coordinator Wooree Miya, this position will work within Wooree Miya Refuge to provide intensive support and holistic case management for women and their children living in the refuge.
You will work alongside Senior Refuge Case Workers and Refuge Support Workers (shift workers) to provide intensive support and holistic case management for women and their children living in the refuge. You will carry a caseload of families active within the refuge.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA (address this in your cover letter)
A qualification in a relevant area at Diploma level or higher OR minimum 2 years’ experience providing clinical case management in an FDV / family support setting.
Ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families to promote healing and family safety and wellbeing.
Deep understanding and knowledge of the issues and challenges experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families in the context of Family and Domestic Violence.
Demonstrated communication, facilitation and negotiation skills including written, oral and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to deliver a quality service and achieve client outcomes.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and act decisively.
Sound computer skills, experience working with MS Office programs and data management systems.
Demonstrable commitment to empowering and respecting children and young people.
Demonstrated ability to provide safe environments for children and young people and protect them from abuse and neglect
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
WA Working with Children Card
National Police Clearance (dated within the last 3 months)
Department of Communities Screening (we'll help successful candidates apply)
WA Drivers License
