About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Production Kitchenhand / Batter Mixer to join our team at Crumpets by Merna' in Caringbah, NSW. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, mixing, and handling the batter used to create our delicious crumpets. As part of our tight-knit manufacturing and production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery of our products.

What you'll be doing

Measuring and mixing ingredients to prepare batter for crumpet production

Fermenting and monitoring the batter consistency to meet quality standards

Cleaning and maintaining production equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment

Assisting with other production tasks as required, such as packaging and labelling

Adhering to all food safety and quality control procedures

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment, preferably in a kitchen or bakery setting

Australian work rights are required for this position

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes and procedures accurately

Good manual dexterity and the physical stamina to perform duties that may involve standing for extended periods

A keen interest in food production and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene

Excellent teamwork and communication skills
