THE ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Positive Behaviour Support
Desired: at least 6 months of experience supervising other PBSPs
Knowledge about Autism and Intellectual disabilities
Relevant qualifications + additional undertake our world-class free 40-hour training in behaviour support
Strong independent drive
Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in working with complex cases
A passion for the field of Positive Behaviour Support
Knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards commissions requirements around restrictive practices
Experience in providing training to others (preferably in behaviour management strategies, however all training experience considered)
Ability to form relationships and work with individuals, families, carers, staff and others
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Disability, Mental Health, Community Services, or related field
TIME COMMITMENTS:
Minimum: 16-22 billable hours a week x 46 weeks a year
1-3 hours of supervision for the continued development of junior behaviour support specialists, every 6 weeks.
1 hour of peer-based supervision every 1 month + additional supervision as needed
Undertake specialised training through Liberty’s Centre for Excellence (40+ hours, unpaid) if you do not have a formal PBS qualification.
Involvement in team social outings
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS:
Drivers licence, Car, Laptop, Phone, Home office materials required (by commencement date)
ABN + Professional indemnity and liability insurance (by commencement date)
Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module (by commencement date)
Proda Registration as an eligible worker (by Interview date - takes 5 minutes)
NDIS Worker Screening
PAY RATES:
New practitioners: $104/hour inc super + Bonus + Charity allowance
Experienced practitioners (below proficiency level): $115/hour inc super + Bonus + Charity allowance
Senior practitioners (proficiency and above): $125.60/hour inc super + Bonus + Charity allowance
For Seniors with experience leading teams, additional renumeration is offered
Note that Improved Daily Living funding is paid slightly differently.
