About the role

As a Casual Cash & Sales Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of cash handling processes within the organization by managing, processing, and reconciling all cash and sales-related activities. This role involves meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of finance and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare daily, weekly, and periodic cash & sales reports.

Escort finance team for cash & sales envelope pickups across facilities.

Process journals into accounting systems and coordinate banking for cash and foreign currency.

Prepare sales tax invoices and flight delay voucher listings.

Monitor debtor aging and ensure compliance with credit terms.

Participate in audits and maintain proper documentation.

Reconcile credit card transactions and liaise with bankers.

Maintain filing systems and internet banking transactions.

Provide cover for short-term absences in the Cash & Sales team.

Perform other administrative duties as required.

Experience and Specific Requirements:

Proven experience in cash handling, compliance, or a similar role.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash transactions.

Proficiency in Excel for data entry and analysis.

Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Good communication skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in the financial industry is advantageous.
