We are seeking skilled Trades Assistants to join our growing and dynamic team. Must be reliable, committed to the job and have your own vehicle for transport.

The Skilled Trades Assistant supports qualified tradespeople and site supervisors on commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for assisting with daily site operations, preparing materials, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and performing general labouring duties to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of construction projects.

Responsibilities

Perform general labouring duties including site clean-up, loading/unloading materials, and moving tools/equipment.

Prepare and stage construction materials to ensure workflow efficiency.

Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and site equipment safely and as directed.

Follow site safety procedures and assist in maintaining compliance with WHS standards.

Support the set-up and dismantling of temporary site structures, scaffolding, and barricades.

Assist in handling deliveries and verifying materials against orders where required.

Report any hazards, incidents, or maintenance needs to the Site Supervisor promptly.

Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.

What you’ll bring

Essential:

Previous experience in construction, labouring, or trades assistant roles.

Understanding of basic construction practices and use of hand and power tools.

Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in varying conditions.

Strong awareness of workplace health and safety practices.

Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and ensuring all deadlines are met.

Excellent verbal skills - Able to follow instructions by the site supervisors.

White Card (Construction Induction) – mandatory for site access.

Desirable:

High Risk Work Licences, EWP, or Forklift (advantageous).

Ability to read and follow basic plans and instructions.

Renumeration
