We provide national leadership on the implementation of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and collaborate with the Australian and state and territory governments to:

  • implement changes that benefit children birth to 13 years-of-age and their families
  • monitor and promote the consistent application of the Education and Care Services National Law across all states and territories
  • support the early childhood education and care sector to improve quality outcomes for children

The Role

The Content Developer, Regulatory Systems plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of change initiatives within the NQA IT System environment. This involves creating high-quality, accessible, and user-focused content, including training materials, onboarding guides, release notes, and instructional resources, all designed to enhance user experience.

The Content Developer collaborates closely with the Project Change Lead and cross-functional teams to ensure that the content aligns with project timelines, meets stakeholder needs, and adheres to accessibility standards.

This role is full time and fixed-term (9 months) at ACECQA Band 5 ($103,179 - $122,039).

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in developing training and guidance materials, preferably in the context of technology systems.
  • Proficiency in using documentation and collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Confluence, Scribe, and Jira.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly content.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines and experience applying them to digital content.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency.
  • Positive and proactive attitude with a focus on achieving successful outcomes.

While not essential, the following attributes will greatly assist you in the role:

  • Technical exposure to systems such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Power Pages.
  • Experience working in a government or regulatory environment.
  • Familiarity with the National Quality Framework (NQF) or similar government-led systems.
  • Exposure to Agile or Waterfall project environment.
