Facilities and Maintenance Officer – Wonders of Wildhood Group

Wonders of Wildhood is seeking a reliable and skilled Facilities and Maintenance Officer to join our team. This role plays an important part in ensuring our centre is safe, well-presented, and welcoming for children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Centre Director, you will:

Carry out general building and facility maintenance, including minor repairs, painting, and upkeep.

Maintain gardens, lawns, and outdoor play areas to a high standard.

Assist with landscaping and small improvement projects around the centre.

Support with event and program set-up when required.

Ensure the centre is always clean, safe, and visually welcoming.

Follow Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices to keep our environment safe for children, staff, and visitors.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

Relevant trade qualification (carpentry or similar) is highly regarded.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a maintenance, groundskeeping, or similar role.

Strong skills in general building and garden maintenance.

Practical problem-solving ability and strong attention to detail.

Commitment to safe work practices and WHS standards.

Current Police check & Blue Card (Working with Children).

Basic computer literacy.
