ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE OFFICER
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team at our Head Office branch, located at Horsley Park.
We are looking for someone with a high level of customer service skills, as well as the ability to learn quickly, and demonstrate a willingness to undertake any task at hand. This includes having excellent problem solving and time management skills. This role reports to the Credit Supervisor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Managing incoming payments, ensuring they are allocated correctly to customer accounts
· Maintaining and updating customer accounts
· Setting up new customer accounts
· Credit Checks
· Following up overdue accounts and working with customers to resolve outstanding payments
· Reconciling customer accounts
· Answering telephones and responding to email enquiries
· Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence ensuring timely responses, appropriate follow up, escalations and preparing outgoing correspondence as required
· Issuing Debtor Statements
· Working closely with Sales to ensure the flow of information
· Assist with month-end closing, audits, and ad hoc finance projects as needed
· Other duties as requested
ABOUT YOU
· Previous experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar role is highly regarded
· Display a calm approach to difficult conversations which may sometimes present in the debt recovery function
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders
· Detail orientated, able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks at once
· Able to work independently while also being a collaborative team player
· Proficient in office software, especially excel skills (including XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP) with a willingness to learn new tools and processes
· Business Central Accounting Software - knowledge highly regarded
· Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitasks and prioritise workload
· Positive attitude and strong work ethic, with a commitment to achieving customer service of the highest standard
