Your new role:
As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will provide advanced discipline-specific and multidisciplinary services for children, young people (up to 18 years), and their families experiencing complex mental health concerns. You will contribute to intake, case management, therapeutic interventions, community liaison, and service development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-level assessment, therapeutic interventions, and case management
- Providing clinical leadership, advice, and supervision to HP3 clinicians, students, and AHAs
- Undertaking risk assessments and supporting recovery-oriented care planning
- Developing partnerships with schools, community organisations, and external agencies
- Contributing to service development, policy, and evidence-based clinical practice improvements
- Supporting research, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives within CYMHS
About you:
We are seeking a motivated and resilient clinician with advanced skills in child and youth mental health. You will bring expertise in delivering therapeutic interventions, leadership in multidisciplinary environments, and a strong commitment to recovery-oriented care.
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and registration (Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or Speech Pathology)
- Eligibility/commitment to attain Authorised Mental Health Practitioner status
- High-level knowledge of child and youth mental health assessment, intervention, and case management
- Experience supervising and mentoring less experienced clinicians and students
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Commitment to person-centred, culturally safe, and trauma-informed care
