About the Role
The Senior Clinician provides clinical leadership, governance, and advanced case management across Shine Bright Mental Health programs, including the Shine Bright Sanctuary, Better Connect, and NDIS services.
This role will:
Deliver direct clinical services and high-level case management for clients with complex needs.
Act as a senior clinician and advisor to the Director, contributing to service development, quality improvement, and program growth.
Provide clinical oversight, supervision, and support to staff.
Ensure Shine Bright Mental Health maintains evidence-based, trauma-informed, and person-centred care across all programs.

Clinical and case management.

Risk and safety.
The successful applicant will have
Minimum 5 years clinical experience in mental health, disability or related fields.
Experience supporting clients with high-risk behaviours, aggression, and substance use.
Desirable:
Experience in service development and clinical governance.
Previous experience in supervision of multidisciplinary staff.
Training in trauma-informed practice, DBT, CBT, or equivalent therapeutic models.
Qualifications & Memberships
Degree in Nursing, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work.
Current registration with AHPRA (Nurse, Psychologist, OT) or AASW membership (Social Worker).
Security & Screening Requirements
National Police Check.
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
Current Driver’s Licence.
Pay & Classification Guide
This position is being offered as part-time or casual depending on candidate.
It will be remunerated in line with professional qualifications, experience, and the relevant Award:
Registered Nurses (Queensland Health Nurses and Midwives Award 2016 – stream)
Registered Nurse Level 6–7 (Senior Clinical roles)
As of September 2024, pay ranges from approx. $52.11 – $64.93 per hour ($103,000 – $129,000 p.a. FT) plus penalties and superannuation.
Allied Health Professionals (Psychologists, OTs, Social Workers – Health Practitioners Award stream)
HP3–HP4 levels depending on experience and responsibilities.
As of September 2024, pay ranges from approx. $41.75 – $67.71 per hour ($86,600 – $134,200 p.a. FT) plus penalties and superannuation.
Casual loading applies at 23%–25% depending on Award conditions.
Final classification and pay point will be determined based on discipline, years of experience, and demonstrated senior clinical responsibilities.
