Full-time | Immediate Start — Sydney Harbour (Lavender Bay, right in front of the Harbour Bridge)

About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Marine Mechanic / Marine Technician to join our team on Sydney Harbour. Based at Lavender Bay, right beneath the Harbour Bridge, this full-time role offers immediate start and a chance to work across a busy fleet of commercial charter vessels as well as private client boats.

You’ll carry out maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on both sailing yachts and motor vessels, with varied, hands-on work across inboards, outboards, electrics, plumbing, safety systems and more.

What you’ll do
- Diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on inboards (diesel & petrol) and outboards
- Work on drive systems: shaft, stern drive, saildrive (jet a bonus)
- DC electrics & instrumentation: alternators, batteries, NMEA 2000/0183
- Fuel, cooling, exhaust, bilge, plumbing, and steering systems
- Safety equipment checks and rectification
- Slipway work, antifouling, refits & upgrades
- Sea trials and maintenance logs

What you’ll bring
- Trade qualification or equivalent hands-on marine experience
- Experience across both sailing yachts and motor boats
- Strong fault-finding and reliable workmanship
- Valid driver’s licence
- A proactive, can-do attitude — training provided plus support to gain commercial skipper qualifications
