A leading Liquid and Technical Waste Management and Resource Recovery provider delivering custom-fit services for collecting, treating, and disposing of industrial, clinical, chemical, and by-product waste-across solid, liquid, and gaseous forms.

Their meticulous planning, hands-on approach, and unwavering commitment to environmental safety ensure every customer receives tailored, high-quality service with a focus on compliance and care.

The Position

This company is looking for a Strategic Business Development Manager to join them, working across the Sydney & New South Wales market, with a strong mix of in-office, on-the-road and WFH (working from home) in an effort to identify, maintain and grow strategic and high-yielding accounts, from the government, mining, resource and heavy industrial markets.

Other facets of the role are:

  • Drive growth of the business through the tender process with large and strategic accounts
  • Create bespoke and tailored proposals for new customers
  • Maintain a sales pipeline
  • Manage key accounts once incepted
  • Manage new and existing tenders
  • Regular reporting back to State and Head offices
  • Liaising with Operations and Accounts teams for full overview of customer accounts

The Candidate

In order to be considered for this role the ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar Strategic or Senior Business Development Manager role within the Waste Management / Collections marketplace
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft suite)
  • Industry experience within Waste Management - preferably liquid and technical services or HAZCHEM
  • Is a strong communicator and analytical problem solver
