The Role:

Transport Refrigeration Services (TRS) is seeking a Bus Air-Conditioning Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining our customer’s bus air-conditioning systems to the highest standards while ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

This is a field-based role where the Service Technician will handle air-conditioning repairs and services for buses in the Sydney area. You will be responsible for completing work efficiently and in line with company standards, providing high-quality service to meet our customer’s needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic checks, repairs, and routine maintenance of bus air-conditioning systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with air-conditioning systems in a timely manner.

Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company standards and customer expectations.

Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and maintained.

Follow safety protocols and adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

Communicate with customers on the scope of services and ensure satisfaction.

Maintain accurate records of all services, repairs, and maintenance performed.

Collaborate with other team members.

Provide support and technical assistance to other team members as required.

The Candidate:

We are looking for a Service Technician with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering excellent service. While previous experience in the automotive or refrigeration industry, we are particularly interested in candidates with strong technical knowledge and the ability to think on their feet. We provide comprehensive training to ensure you succeed in the role, and a willingness to learn is essential.

Skills & Experience:

Experience in the automotive, refrigeration, or air-conditioning industry (preferably with bus systems however we are willing to train up a light or heavy vehicle mechanic - AT OUR COST).

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

A strong understanding of health and safety regulations, as well as industry-specific compliance requirements.

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with both customers and team members.

A valid driver’s license (preferred).
