About the role

Cooling Tower Solutions' is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Yatala, Queensland. This is a casual position providing an excellent opportunity to work on a range of mechanical projects and gain exposure to various industries. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment, ensuring the efficient operation of our client's facilities.

What you'll be doing

Perform a variety of mechanical maintenance and repair tasks on industrial equipment, including cooling towers, pumps, electric motors, and other machinery

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and implement appropriate solutions

Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to guide your work

Carry out preventative maintenance routines to proactively identify and address potential problems

Collaborate with the wider team to ensure the timely completion of projects and the effective resolution of issues

Maintain detailed records of all work undertaken and parts used

What we're looking for

A trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or a related field

Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally within the trades and services industry

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety

The ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Good communication and documentation skills
