Mechanical Engineers Australia (MEA) is a long-standing engineering company servicing Queensland’s power generation and coal mining industries for over 30 years. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Gladstone workshop on a 2-month contract basis, with the potential for extension.

About the Role

You will be working as part of our workshop team on current power station and coal mining overhaul projects, including:

Strip, repair and assembly of mechanical components

Overhaul of gearboxes, pumps, and rotating equipment

Fabrication support and fitting of heavy industrial assemblies

Assisting with shutdown preparation and refurbishment works

What We’re Looking For

Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter

Previous experience with heavy industry, power stations, or mining equipment

Strong mechanical aptitude with fitting, assembly and alignment skills

Safety focused with the ability to work in a team environment

Ability to commit to a short-term contract role (approx. 2 months)
