New Lambton Post Office and NSW Lotteries outlet is located in Newcastle, NSW. As a Customer Service Officer, you’ll play an important role in serving our local businesses and individuals, keeping people connected and building community resilience. We are looking for an enthusiastic Customer Service Officer to join our team on a long term basis. 15-30 hours a week, Monday to Friday. No weekend required.

Permanent Part Time or Full time with pathway to store manager position can be offered to the right candidate

Monday – Friday only, no weekend

What you’ll be doing:

Performing customer sales and service transactions

Managing high value transactions accurately – which includes handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS

Assisting customers with mail lodgements and collecting mails

Selling NSW Lotteries products

Promoting our products & services through up-selling, cross-selling and merchandising

Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding and well serving their needs

Conducting and processing identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interview

Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance

Maintaining commitment to Australia Post’s Occupational Health and Safety standards

Keeping the outlet clean, tidy all the time. Maintaining a welcoming envirornment

What we are looking for

Honest, Friendly, high-level integrity, accountable

Previous experiences in Post Office and or NSW Lotteries are highly regarded

Good verbal & written communication skills

Intermediate computer skills

Attention to details, and be able to multitask

Physically fit to lift mails up to 16kg

Stand for most of your shift

Willing and able to work as part of a team to deliver the best possible service and solutions to our customers
