Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best-fit Disability Support Workers to both Government & non-government Disability Service providers across Australia.

We are partnering with a long-term specialist Disability Service provider operating and we have a plenty of work opportunities currently available within their services located in both Adelaide South, CBD & Northern Suburbs.

What you need:

• Experience supporting people in SILs with physical & intellectual disabilities.
• Demonstrated experience supporting clients with complex challenging behaviours.
• Experience working for an agency and/or being in a previous role where you have been on-call
• Demonstrated experience with following PBS plans.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be well organised and able to work as part of a team.
• Experience driving a company van to transport clients.

Requirements for the role:

• Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant)
• Full Australian Driver's License (not overseas, learners or provisional licenses can be accepted)
• First Aid Certificate
• CPR
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children's Check
• Manual Handling Training.
• Medication Training (face-to-face)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
• Reliable smart phone with data

Overview of the role:

• Provide day-to-day support to people with a disability in various environments to help them improve their independence and achieve their goals.
• 24-hour care model, meaning staff are required to work a combination of shifts – day (0700-1900 & 0900-2100) night (1900 - 0700 & 2100 - 0900)
• Mainly 12-hour shifts, some shorter 3-hour support shifts from time to rime
• Assist participants with the range of personal activities including hygiene support, use of manual handling equipment, medication assistance, domestic assistance, meals.
• Following specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP)
• Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities.
• Support people within both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements.
• Must be able to drive company vans to transport participants to community-based outings.
