Financial/Corporate Accountant
Ballarat | Full-Time | 12-month fixed-term contract with a view to be made permanent

An established, global organisation with a strong regional presence is seeking a proactive and commercially minded Financial/Corporate Accountant to join its finance team in Ballarat. The Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting broader corporate initiatives. This role will suit a candidate who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment and enjoys partnering with both operational and executive teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
• Support in the preparation of statutory accounts, tax compliance, and audit requirements
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes
• Balance sheet reconciliations and cashflow management
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across financial systems and reporting
• Partner with key stakeholders across operations and corporate functions to provide financial insights
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and global reporting standards

About You

• CA/CPA qualified (or working towards) with strong technical accounting knowledge
• Experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment advantageous, though not essential
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
• Proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Preferably an ability to start within 1-2 weeks
