About the Role
My client is an oil and gas company based in Perth looking for a Data Analyst to join their team. This role will focus on turning operational and business data into insights that improve decision-making across production, maintenance and safety. You will work closely with engineers, operations and business stakeholders to build reports, dashboards and analyses that deliver real value.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean and analyse data from operational and business systems.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports for different stakeholders.
• Identify patterns, trends and anomalies in data to support decisions.
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Work with engineers and operations teams to define reporting requirements.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency and reliability of reporting outputs.
• Document processes and share knowledge with the wider team.

Skills & Experience

• Strong SQL skills for data querying and analysis.
• Proficiency with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau or Looker).
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
