An exciting opportunity has presented itself for a Design Manager to join a growing business in the multi-residential & mixed-use project space.
The Design Manager will take ownership of the design process, managing consultants, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring design integrity aligns with client requirements, budget, and program constraints. This role is critical in driving quality outcomes, maintaining compliance, and embedding innovation and sustainability throughout the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and coordinate the full design process from concept through to construction.
• Manage architects, engineers, and specialist consultants to deliver integrated outcomes.
• Develop and manage design programs, ensuring deliverables are achieved on time.
• Act as the key point of contact for clients, consultants, authorities, and contractors.
• Review documentation for constructability, accuracy, and compliance with codes and standards.
• Drive value engineering, sustainability, and innovation throughout the design process.
• Use BIM 3D modelling for design coordination and reviews.
• Mentor and support internal design and project teams, fostering a collaborative culture.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Design Manager within property development or construction.
• Strong knowledge of design processes, statutory requirements, and construction methodology.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
• Proficiency in BIM and design review software.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance design quality with commercial and program requirements.
