Overview
The systems implementation role drives internal projects across workflows, systems, and technology platforms. This position is responsible for evaluating existing business processes, identifying inefficiencies, and leading the implementation of strategic solutions that enhance performance and client service delivery. They are also responsible for training the staff on the applications.
Purpose of the role
Drive operational excellence across the firm by identifying inefficiencies in current processes and systems, proposing practical improvements, and leading the implementation of solutions that enhance workflow, productivity, and client service
Bridge the gap between strategy and operations – turn improvement ideas into actionable, system-driven outcomes
Ensure the firm is leveraging technology effectively – reducing manual tasks, improving data flow, and increasing accuracy and efficiency
Support informed decision-making – by preparing clear board papers that analyse current issues and present well-considered recommendations
Provide continuity between client service and internal systems – ensuring that changes not only benefit the team but also improve the client experience
Duties
Review existing workflows, systems, and procedures across the accounting team and broader business functions.
Identify inefficiencies, duplication of effort, or manual processes that can be automated or streamlined .
Design and document improved workflows aligned with best practices and firm objectives.
Recommend new technology tools or enhancements to existing systems (e.g. practice management, document management, reporting tools).
Lead the rollout and change management process for new systems or processes, including training and documentation.
Board Reporting & Strategic Input o Prepare structured board papers outlining:
o Identified issues or inefficiencies
o Root cause analysis
o Recommended solutions or improvement strategies
o Cost-benefit analysis and implementation plan
o Present findings and recommendations to directors and key stakeholders
Secondary Duties
Assist in the management and training of key software packages of which you have been nominated as a product champion.
Promotion of the businesses' core values and culture.
Other duties, as required.
Ad hoc projects, as required.
Promote the business and its services.
Build and maintain networks and relationships.
Involvement in practice activities, internal training and orientation program as required.
