We have partnered with a boutique accounting firm in Brisbane to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. The firm is part of a larger group of companies offering accounting, mortgage broking and financial planning. You will work with modern systems and the firm utilise new technologies and AI advancements.

About the role

The successful candidate will assist both the Manager and Partner with a set portfolio of clients (approx $1.5m). You will have your own small fee base where you manage clients from start to finish and then assist with some clients where the Manager or Partner is the first point of contact. The clients include high income family groups and SMEs $2m - $30m turnover across varied industries including professional services and construction.

Experience required

Demonstrated experience working as a Senior Accountant in an accounting firm

Experience reviewing work including tax returns, financial statements and BAS

Experience managing workflows and productivity (not essential)

Confident with clients and able to run tax planning meetings and any additional advisory services including cash flow forecasting and management reporting (training can be provided for those with only limited experience)

CA/CPA preferred

Please note, only those with full working rights (Citizen or PR) and experience as a Senior Accountant in an accounting firm (Australian business services & tax) will be shortlisted for the role.

What is on offer

Very flexible working. The firm is based in Newstead (Brisbane) - you can work 2-3 days out of 5 from home

$105,000 - $120,000 package for an experienced senior accountant

Opportunity to grow the position, expand your fee base and move into a Manager role in the future if desired

Ongoing CA/CPA professional memberships paid

Training through both Tax Nuggets and The Tax Institute
