We are looking for an experienced mine surveyors to assist us at a tier 1 gold mining client in central NSW. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who wants to take the next leap in their career as a Consultant, propelling their career forward and be rewarded financially.

The Role

Our clients are looking for enthusiastic and competent Mine Surveyors to assist technical services teams in day to day survey duties. As there is an industry shortage of professionals they are seeking the assistance of mining consultants to fill this gap. We have a range of roles for mine surveyors with 2 years or more, relevant open pit experience reporting to the senior mine surveyor, as well as senior roles (minimum of 5 years relevant experience) who will report direct to the technical services manager. Roles start at $270k per year based off 8:6 roster, 24 swings a year (2 swings holiday) and a $1400/day rate.

We have no shortage of work at the moment and can pay well because of our low overheads.

The role will involve:

Conduct open pit mine surveying

Provide set-outs, pick-ups and monitoring of pit walls, bores and water levels

Survey compliance to design utilizing both UAV and standard GPS equipment

Survey and calculate volumes of stock piles, blasts and ex-pit material

End of month reporting, including surveys, volumes & reconciliations

Assisting the mining team to maintain accurate plans for the mine site and associated infrastructure

To be considered you must meet the following criteria:

Tertiary qualification (degree or diploma)

Remote Pilot Licence

2-3 years open pit mine surveying experience essential

Proficiency in using common mine surveying software

Have exceptional and professional communication skills to engage and influence other personnel within the business.

Have excellent time management and task prioritisation skills.
