DUTIES

1. Undertake site inspections, including mandatory inspections on all Class of buildings and issue inspection reports
2. Issue CC, CDC and OC certificates on all projects they are assigned. Happy to consider not issuing certificates on Class 2 & 3
3. Assess all documentation and prepare CCs, CDCs & OOCs
4. Liaise with consultant team on all the assigned projects to provide written and verbal responses
5. Prepare BCA Capability reports for DA submission
6. Prepare BCA clause by clause reports on all class of buildings

ABOUT YOU

• Tertiary qualifications in: Health and/or building surveying, town planning, or equivalent.
• Essential Licences and/or Certificates
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Knowledge of the Local Government Act 1993, Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Building Code of Australia and related legislation.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
• Demonstrated report-writing skills and clear oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated mediation, negotiation, customer service and team skills.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve goals within set timeframes
• Self-motivated individual with the capacity to take initiative and be innovative
• Computer literacy; Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Professional image and behaviour
• Must be very detail oriented
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
