We are seeking a Test Analyst for a 6 month contract with the ability to develop and deliver applications testing services within agreed time, cost and quality expectations. The successful candidate will need to develop detailed test plans and test cases from business process models and systems designs and providing status reporting against test plans for stakeholders. The candidate will need to have strong problem solving, communication, negotiation and persuasion skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and develop test strategies that minimise risk.
• Design and execute test scripts (unit, integration, capacity, UAT, release).
• Conduct end-to-end and integration testing to identify and resolve defects early.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing with stakeholders and manage issue resolution.
• Prepare detailed test reports to inform developers and business users.
• Develop test schedules and plans to optimise resources.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve software quality and testing practices.

Criteria

• Demonstrated experience in manual and functional testing, with exposure to automated testing of cloud-based web applications running on SQL databases and APIs.
• Proficiency in creating and updating test cases, test scripts, user manual and procedure documents.
• Ability to run SQL queries and familiarity with testing AI features embedded in application.
• Experience and understanding of testing tools like JIRA, Tricentis Tosca or HP QC.
• Sound understanding of test methodologies, as well as understanding of Standard Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
