Customer Service Officer

• Rate of $50.37 + Super
• Starting October 2025
• Monday - Friday 8:00 - 17:00 (business hours)

Our client, a Qld Government Department is seeking Customer Service Officers to be part of their call centre located in Southport. You will be communicating with clients to offer a high level of customer service by providing accurate and consistent information.

About the role:

You will be handling enquiries from customers regarding the status of their accounts - updating details, verifying information, or referring them to other departments within Qld Government. The ability to analyse and interpret relevant legislation and data while exercising sound judgement to make effective decisions and/or recommendations. You will utilise your strong communication skills to effectively assist customers to access and navigate online services.

About you:

• Previous experience in call centre is essential
• Investigate and provide prompt, consistent, and courteous advice to customers.
• Provide assistance to clients attempting to access online services.
• Ability to actively listen to and resolve customer enquiries.
• Strong negotiation and conflict management skills
• Criminal History Check is required for this role
