We are calling for applications from suitably qualified teachers who are passionate about joining the Genesis teaching community and possess a deep understanding of and experience in Senior English. Expertise in the QCAA syllabus and the Australian National Curriculum is essential. As Head of Department for Senior English, you will be responsible for leading innovation and excellence in this dynamic department.

This is a Full-Time, permanent position starting in January 2026.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

QCT Registration (or eligibility)

Demonstrated Teaching experience

Knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices and assessment strategies appropriate to secondary schooling

Familiarity with the QCAA syllabuses and Senior processes

Experience in curriculum development which meets the requirements of the Australian National Curriculum.

First Aid Certification

Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work proactively with and lead a collaborative teaching team

An active Christian faith.
