Potential Head of Department Opportunity

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Secondary Science Teacher to join our team in 2026 (with the possibility of an earlier start for the right applicant). This is a full-time role teaching Years 7–12, with potential for a Head of Department position. You’ll be part of a close-knit secondary team where collaboration, faith, and student growth are at the heart of what we do.

The role involves:

Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons aligned with the Queensland Curriculum

Building strong relationships with students and families through open communication

Actively contributing to a Christ-centred and supportive school culture

Providing timely feedback, observations, and records of student progress

Participating in school events and community life

Skills and experience

We are looking for a teacher with:

Secondary Science teaching experience (Years 7–12)

QCT registration (or eligibility)

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

A commitment to Christian education and whole-child development

Energy, flexibility, and a reflective approach to teaching

Bonus skills:

Leadership experience or readiness to step into a Head of Department role
