Responsibilities
Plan and supervise geotechnical investigations, including borehole logging, in-situ testing, subcontractor coordination, and ensuring HSE and ISO compliance.
Assist with analysis, design, and reporting for foundations, retaining walls, slopes, pavements, and other geotechnical structures.
Support senior engineers and engineering geologists in both technical delivery and project planning, strengthening Geoporte’s capability to manage simultaneous projects, assist with bid proposal preparation.
Skills and Experience Required
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Foundational knowledge of soil and rock mechanics, foundation engineering, and ground investigation methods.
Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to assist in design, analysis, and preparation of geotechnical reports.
Practical exposure or internship experience in site investigations, laboratory testing, or construction environments (preferred but not essential).
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to support senior engineers and coordinate with subcontractors and stakeholders.
Commitment to safety and quality standards, with an understanding of HSE and ISO compliance requirements.
