An excellent opportunity currently exists for a qualified Safety Officer to join the Comgroup People and Quality Team at our Carole Park factory.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

.

Ability to work within the People and Safety field. (Qualifications cert 4 minimum)

Ensure compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act at all times!

To ensure the safety of all employees, Subcontractors and visitors who attend the site.

To ensure that Comgroup Supplies provides a safe working environment.

Ensure all mandatory training has taken place in conjunction with the Training Manager.

Provide accurate and timely reports to the Chief of People and Quality.

Lead risk assessments, incident investigations & safety training

Manage Workcover claims & return-to-work programs

Deliver inductions, toolbox talks & emergency drills

Partner with staff, contractors & regulators to improve safety outcomes

Experience in Food Manufacturing.

Requirements and skills:

WHS experience in manufacturing (food industry an advantage)

Strong knowledge of WHS legislation & incident management

Cert IV in WHS (minimum) – Diploma preferred

Excellent communication & training skills

Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills.

Above average ability with the Microsoft suite. Excel a must

Ability to write a monthly report analyzing statistics.

A hands-on Approach, spending time on the floors, helping and being hands-on.

Have a mindset of continuous improvement and being proactive.

Be able to work under pressure, with exceptional prioritizing skills.

To culturally fit into a hard-working but fun team.

Ability to research and guide a team.

Monthly safety meetings and control the Safety Rep nomination process.
